This is a charity race based in the Essex port town of Harwich and organised by the Rotary Club.

The communications before the race were clear and well timed, with lots of good local history about how the race came about and this definitely built my excitement before race day. The registration was well organised with toilets available beforehand. The whole course was well marshalled and the people of Harwich all came out to support - there was a really warm friendly atmosphere all the way round. Mostly flat with a few small hills, but nothing hideous. The course length was right according to my watch, so no issues there, and I got a Personal Best! Great medal, and I’m already looking forward to running it again next year. Local businesses were offering free drinks to runners - I was sad to miss this! And one cafe had a bouncy castle up for children.
