This is a charity event and has recently passed it's 44th year. It is sponsored by Bakers Labels and organised by Brentwood Running Club and the Rotary Club. It is a big event with over 2,500 runners, starting and finishing at Sawyers Hall College in the centre of Brentwood. The route is mainly on rural roads circling Brentwood, towards the finish there is a long straight uphill section into Brentwood which is challenging. Given it is in late March, the weather can be varible. It has been run in a snow storm, whilst some years it is tee-shirt weather, so be prepared for all weathers. There is no car park for the event, so runners have to use one of a number of public pay car parks in the town. One of the better ones is the large car park at Sainsbury's about 10 minutes walk from the start.
