This event is held in the Notley Discovery Centre, just off the A131 heading towards Braintree. It attracts around 250 runners in the summer, reducing to 200 or so in the winter months. The course is a 2 lap circuit, all on made-up footpaths and bridleways. It can get a little flooded in winter, but is usually fine. The 2nd lap has a detour up a steep hill in the summer months. Buggies and dogs are allowed, however, pushing the buggy up the hill in the summer is a challenge. Car parking is chargeable and is in the main Discovery Centre car park. It can be paid before the race either at the machines or via the MiPermit app. A alternative is to park in Tescos car park for free and have about a 10 minutes walk. Tesco's also has a Costa for a post run coffee. This race is usually run regardless of the weather, so if your local ParkRun is cancelled this is a good reserve. It is also one of the races that has a Christmas Day event.
