A new event that started in December 2025, appartently the first new ParkRun in Essex in 4 years. It is on the outskirts of Chelmsford and in the grounds of the Writtle Agricultural College, now part of the Anglia Ruskin University. It is a welcome alternative for Chelmsford runners, as well as relief for the Chelmsford Central event, that gets very busy.

The route is an out and back course, with 2 laps, which because of the route can get a little narrow in places. All the run is on grass and made-up paths.

Car parking is in the college car park and is free. The early events have been very well attended, with over 300 runners, which has made it a little congested. However, it is likely to stabilize when the tourists have got their tick for the new event.
