A new event that started in December 2025, apparently the first new ParkRun in Essex in 4 years. It is on the outskirts of Chelmsford and in the grounds of the Writtle Agricultural College, now part of the Anglia Ruskin University. It is a welcome alternative for local runners, as well as relief for the Chelmsford Central event, that gets very busy.

The route is an out and back course, with 2 laps around the lake, which has some lovely views. The route has a couple of switch-backs, which gets a little narrow in places if you have a buggy. All the run is on grass and made-up paths.

Car parking is in the college car park close to the start and finish and is free.
