FELSTED 10k

Usually the hottest race of the year and this year didn't disappoint. The organisers wisely moved the start up to 9am rather than the customary 10am so its was only around 22 degrees when we set off!! This is a great race as you'd expect from a well run club like Grange Farm. Well organised with friendly marshals, the locals came out to support as usual and this year they wisely added another water station due the the heat. The course is undulating, uphill for the first 500m and then downhill for the next 2k which lulls you into a fast start. There then follows a winding incline to rougly half way and the race ends with a straight 2k with a downhill finish. Thankfully there was plenty of water at the end and a nice medal if that's your thing. I do this race every year and its one of my faves - thank you and congratulations to Grange Farm & Dunmow Runners, see you next year!
