Review by Priory Bazley, Chelmsford Runner (October 2023)
Having run ARU Chelmsford Half earlier in 2023, I saw the Havens Hospice Half advertised and couldn't say no. It was a different route, running out towards Writtle University through Central and Admirals Parks and has a balance of path and road running. The roads were pretty clear and there were a large group of brilliant marshalls looking after us the whole way round. There were plenty of water stands and even a cheeky tub of haribo here and there! I thoroughly enjoyed this race (maybe even more than the ARU half). It was very well organised in Central Park as the hub, with stands and plenty of portaloos and a big stand with brilliant encouragement. I would definitely run again!
